4o Days of Recovery ~ Day 4o

John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me.

In these times of engaging in the recovery process, we are constantly being directed. Rather than ignoring sound advice, fine levels of teaching and things we discover through recovery focused discussions let us treat it all with appreciative attention. Recovery is a stepping stone to finding God’s purpose for our lives.

All the signposts are pointing us to a variety of places to which we can head.  Early Christians were people of ‘The Way’ Paul came to the conclusion one thing has to be paramount in our thinking. I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward–to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision–you’ll see it yet! Philippians 3:12-15

When Jesus Christ becomes the One True Higher Power in our lives. When we allow Him to become our Saviour and our Lord we become followers and He gives the directions. Recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. The ‘4o Days of Recovery’ is the start of a process of spiritual maturity in which the prize is learning God’s purpose for us and allowing Him to be our Managing Director.

Keep on Keeping on and keep letting God guide you as you walk this life-transforming process call RECOVERY.
