Over the 30+ years I have been in may meetings AA, NA, Adult Children of Alcoholics, Alcohilcs Victorious, Overcomers Outreach,Celebrate Recovery and Living Life Recovery. My hope and my prayer is that for the rest of my days I will continue to attend many meetings because it helps me.
With our tongues, we bless God our Father; with the same tongues, we curse the very men and women he made in his image. Curses and blessings out of the same mouth! My friends, this can’t go on.
God is near all who call out to Him with integrity
Think this over—no double-talk! Think carefully—your integrity is on the line. No one of us is perfectly qualified. We get it wrong nearly every time we open our mouths.
Our character defects must be addressed and handed over to God in order for us to live the life He has planned for us.
God’s Promise: God is there, ready to help us; we have nothing to no matter what. If we put our trust in Him nothing can bring us undone?
Realizing we are out of control can be confronting. Knowing we have to do something but not knowing what that something is.
Why is responsibility an important character trait in recovery?
Willingness to change our attitudes, actions, thoughts and behaviours is a necessity in the process of recovery.
The Twelve Steps encourage us to be in constant relationship with the Holy Spirit.
