Searching for and maintaining peace with Gods help.
2022 | Day Seventy-Eight | Have Faith In God
We have been made right with God because of our faith. Now we have peace with Him because of our Lord Jesus Christ
Peace! and being happy were the only two things I ever wanted in life while using. I drank to forget and when I sobered up there was never any peace because of the things I did when I drank. For a number of years now in my life, I have experienced the ‘Peace of God’ ’The peace beyond understanding.’ I received it through putting my faith in my Higher Power, Jesus Christ. It is very real and it is indescribable. If you are like I was I feel for you and I am glad I don’t live inside your head. If you are like me and you want peace, then I encourage you to investigate your personal relationship with Jesus. If you really want Him to help you to regain control of your life at some stage, you are going to have to trust him.
MEDITATION
Shining on those in darkness, those sitting in the shadow of death. Showing us the way, one step at a time down the pathway to peace. God promises us peace. Jesus appeared and said ‘peace be with you.’ I am leaving you well and whole. That is my parting gift to you. I don’t leave you the way you are used to being left, Feeling abandoned. So don’t be distraught. Be a good citizen. Under God live God’s order, be responsible and the God of great hope will fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace so your believing lives will be filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER
Just for today Lord give me peace. Teach me to live under your order so I may be responsible and enjoy all You have in stor for me.
2022 | Day Twenty-Nine | Verse for Today

I have tried to stimulate your wholesome thinking and refresh your memory. When you walk, God will lead you. When you sleep, God will protect you. When you wake up, God will advise you.
Let God teach you because He is humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls in Him.
Wisdom from above is pure. It is peace-loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
2022 | Day Six | Morning Harmony
Throw yourself into this work for Christ. Think it over. God will make it all plain. Fix this picture firmly in your mind: Jesus, descended from the line of David, raised from the dead. It’s what you’ve heard all along. Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon.
The Bible is not just a book we need to read. We need to understand it, what it means for us personally, and we need to apply it. When we don’t understand it we need to seek help from those who do. A good way of doing that is to get involved in a small group. Over the years I have been in a number of small groups and found them to be indispensable. Listening to others, and what God is saying to them is always helpful. It has always amazed me how people all around this world can read a passage of God’s Word and receive a different message from the Holy Spirit.
Access To God
#ThoughtForToday
We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open His door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide-open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.
Jesus Christ possesses the master key that will admit us to everything God has prepared for us. When He justifies the ungodly we can move forward in His blessings of grace, peace, and communion with Him. Repentance is the gate that opens opportunities in our lives we could not even have dreamed in the past.
When we mature spiritually through the process of recovery we experience peace beyond our human understanding.
Grab Hold of Hope
#VerseForToday
Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. Psalms 39:7
The Lord is the source of all hope because He understands our pasts, guides us in the present and knows our future.
I’m glad from the inside out, ecstatic; I’ve pitched my tent in the land of hope. I have committed myself heart and soul to what God promised my ancestors. May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope!
Remember that your bodies are created with the same dignity as the Master’s body. With Gods kind of hope to excite us, nothing can hold us back. The Message is as true among you today as when you first heard it. It doesn’t diminish or weaken over time. Speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you’re already doing this; just keep on doing it. God can’t break his word. And because His word cannot change, His promises are likewise unchangeable. We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go.
There is Power in the name of Jesus
Psalms 29:11 God makes his people STRONG. God gives his people PEACE.
In Psalm 29 we are reminded of God’s great power. His majesty is greater than words can describe. He knows and loves each if us unconditionally He knows our problems and issues, our weaknesses and our strengths. And yet He is willing and enable to help each of us. Making us strong enough to deal with all life will throw at us and giving us peace to understand and accept there is nothing that will ever happen to us He will not equip us to face and overcome when we put our faith in Him.
*When we accept we are powerless and need help we are in a great place of opportunity if we are willing to turn our problems and issues over to God.
* When we are willing to put ourselves in His hands our success in overcoming will be defined by His power. And, that will give us peace.
What The Bible Says
Jesus said “I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.”
Through the application of the ‘Twelve Steps of Recovery’ and decision to ‘LET GO‘ of the past and ‘LET GOD’ lead, His peace moves into our hearts and lives and offers comfort in the place of stress.
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Philippians 4:6-7
ACHIEVING PEACE
ARE YOU READY TO MAKE PEACE WITH GOD AND OTHERS?
Step Nine says “Having identified the people, I have harmed, I will now go and make restitution to them. Unless to do is going to cause them or other pain or suffering.” It is time to start making peace with those we have harmed or those who have harmed us.
Peace in our lives is a product of trusting God. The Bible talks about “peace beyond our understanding.” It comes not by doubt or avoidance but by learning and applying what we have learned to daily living.
Peace in our lives is also a product of our obedience to God. Many of us in the past have sought to find an easier softer way and failed. Through our obedience, God leads us on a pathway of peace with Him and with others. All we need to do is walk the pathway.
Prayer: Lord help me today to achieve peace
