Proverbs 30:32 “Have you been foolish? Have you thought you were better than others? Have you planned evil? If you have, put your hand over your mouth and stop talking!

It takes time to stop being selfish and self-centered.

One of the downfalls of people in recovery is we all have our own agendas. Even though we may have good intentions and believe we are working from the right motivations my experience is most of us still have delusions of grandeur.

It still amazes me when after a few weeks or months of recovery people honestly believe with the best intentions God wants them to save the world. Bad news saving the World is His job not ours.

What The Bible Says

God heals the heartbroken and bandages their wounds. Psalms 147:3

Our Lord is great, with limitless strength; we’ll never comprehend what he knows and does God puts the fallen on their feet again and pushes the wicked into the ditch.
Psalms 147:5-6

Anyone who gets so progressive in his thinking that he walks out on the teaching of Christ, walks out on God. But whoever stays with the teaching, stays faithful to both the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:9
